Monet Lugo is a Fashion Designer and Style Advisor born in Mexico City; she started her career as a custom designer for television and pursued her love for fashion by attending fashion school in Europe.
Monet attended two of the most exclusive Fashion Design Schools. First she attended Central Saint Martins University of the Arts in London after which she graduated from L’École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris.
During Monet’s Final year she won the award for Technical Expertise at the prestigious Trophée Saint Roch Fashion Show held in the Louvre Museum in Paris. The recognition from this honor led her to an opportunity to work in the Studio Design Team for Hermès where she work for a number of years.
Monet moved to Los Angeles in 2006 and continued her work in fashion working for street wear label Guess and other brands sold in major department stores.
Monet has over 15 years of experience as a Fashion and Textile Designer in the Luxury and Ready to Wear Industry, which gives her an unparalleled point of view as a Stylist.
She has extensive experience in wardrobe management creating a versatile and current closet that is well adapted to her diverse clientele, from the very fashion-forward to the to the more conservative work place leader.
Some notable recent achievements include:
- First hand painted scarf for Hermès "L'arbre du vent" as part of the Fall-Winter 2015 collection.
-Styled the wardrobe for the First Family of Mexico for the 2012 Inauguration Day Ceremony.
- Selected outfits for multiple special events at the South Coast Plaza recognized internationally for its unparalleled retail stores, showcasing the collections of the boutiques.
Looking to combine her love of fashion and art Monet is now working as a Style Advisor for very exclusive clients and creating hand painted scarfs for Hermès and working on her own line.
